The organ at the York was originally installed in 1925 in the Rialto Theatre in Champaign, Illinois. It was purchased by Classic Cinemas in 1980, and moved to the Tivoli Theatre. In 1992 it was moved to the York Theatre when the current CATOE organ was installed in the Tivoli. According to the TO Encyclopedia the York orginally had a 3/10 Barton Theatre pipe organ. |
